Become a Volunteer at the Chris White Gallery

Do you have a passion for the arts? Well now is your chance to join our team here at the Chris White Gallery. The Gallery is pleased to provide valuable committee member and student community service volunteer opportunities. Volunteers can spend their time participating in an array of projects such as gallery administration, research, exhibition prep and installation, and special events planning. To apply to the gallery committee positions and student community service volunteer program, please complete our online application form. 

Here are a few helpful details of what to expect after submitting a volunteer application:

  • We accept committee members and student community service volunteer applications all year round, however, we only bring on new gallery committee members on a need basis and student volunteers every 3 to 4 months. Please know that once we have received your application, we keep it on file and contact qualified applicants as new positions open up.

  • It could be a matter of just a few days or up to several months before you get called in for an interview, depending on when our last volunteers were brought on. Please inform us if you are trying to fulfill an immediate requirement, as we can refer you to another organization that may be looking for volunteers sooner. We appreciate your patience and understanding in this matter.

  • Due to the training required to bring in a new volunteer, we look for volunteers who can commit to a minimum of 12 to 16 weeks, with one regular 2-3 hour shift per week.
